Kingfisher Bay Resort and Village has three restaurants, four bars, a coffee shop and a nightclub.
The Maheno Restaurant,
Lounge and Cocktail Bar
Overlooking the swimming pools, the Maheno is open for breakfast, lunch
and inner daily. Children's meals are available.
Breakfast: Chose continental or hot, country-style breakfast from
the buffet.
Lunch: Dine a la carte on the deck or poolside.
Evenings: Try the cocktail of the day in the Maheno Bar.
Dinner: Buffets have different food themes each night, with a
stunning array of hot and cold dishes and desserts. Seafood buffets on
Friday and Saturday. Bookings essential.
Seabelle Restaurant
The superb a la carte menu introduces the flavours of the Australian bush
combined with quality native meats and fabulous local seafood. There is also
a comprehensive vegetarian menu. The wine list features some fine Australia
wine by the glass. Be tempted by pre-dinner cocktails in the friendly
atmosphere of Seabelle Bar. Open for dinner only. Bookings essential.
Sand Bar Bistro, Pizzeria
Overlooking the beach and two swimming pools, the Sand Bar's vibrant
nautical atmosphere makes this a fun, family place to relax for lunch or
dinner. There is an extensive blackboard menu plus great pizza in the
evenings. On Sundays you can enjoy a carvery buffet lunch. Children's menu
also available.
The Pool Bar
Enjoy a cocktail by the pool. The Pool Bar offers drinks from ice-cold
beers to tropical cocktails. The lunch menu includes sandwiches, burgers
and salads.
The Coffee Rock Cafe
Located in the Shopping Village, this air-conditioned haven offers
fresh-baked bread, pastries, hot pies, filled baguettes and rolls,
cappuccinos, cold drinks and ice creams.
The Wilderness Bar
There's a party every night. Located adjacent to the Wilderness Lodge, the
nightclub is accessible via s shuttle bus from reception. Featuring the
latest in sound, lighting and party games, the bar opens from 7pm until the
wee small hours.
Jetty Hut
Gather here for a drink as the sun sets over the Great Sandy Strait.

Food and Wine Classes
Exploring the local cuisine plays a huge part in the enjoyment of a holiday
and the resort has designed an excellent program to introduce guests to
Australian food and wine. Book at Seabelle Restaurant.
Bush Tucker Talk and
Taste
Friday 5.30pm - 6.30pm $10 per person
Chef is joined by a resort ranger to introduce the many varieties of bush
tucker available in Australia. Guest are given the edible fruits, berries
and leaves to touch, smell and taste, while a ranger explains how they were
used by Aboriginal people. Seabelle chef talks about the modern culinary
uses of the bush foods and combines the flavours with delicacies such as
kangaroo, crocodile and emu for guests to taste. Chef also shared some
recipes. Available for groups on request.
Wine Tasting
Wednesday 5.30pm - 6.30pm $10 per person
Learn about he history, origins and characteristics of Australia wines. A
mix if boutique, mainstream, Queensland and exotic wines are tasted.
Palatable Pairings
Tuesday 5.30pm - 6.30pm $15 per person
The chef and resident wine expert get together to match food and wines.
Chef prepares two dishes for guests to try, each with two wines. They
discuss and demonstrate what to look for when matching food and wine.

Learn about the natural and cultural history of the island. Swim in the clear, blue waters of Lake McKenzie, the island's most beautiful perched lake. From Central Station, walk along the banks of Wanggoolba Creek as it flows silently through rainforest. Marvel at the tall, majestic satinay trees of Pile Valley. Explore some of Fraser island's famous inland sites. Join our ranger for a walk in Pile Valley rainforest with it's towering strands of satinay growing in sand. Experience the peace of Central Station, a former logging camp, now a Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service Ranger Station with an excellent interpretive centre. Follow Wanggoolba Creek through the rainforest to view the king fern - a rare and endangered plant. Swim in the clear, blue water of Lake McKenzie or take a stroll around the white, sandy shoes of this beautiful perched lake.

WHALE WATCHING CRUISE
Humpback whales book their holidays in Hervey Bay from August to October. During this time about 1500 humpbacks spend anywhere from a day or two to two weeks in the sheltered lee of Fraser Island. Because the whales are taking time out from their migration they provide some of the best whale watching in the world. As they come in close to the boats they are easily seen in the clear waters of the bay.

Vehicle Hire Rates: Full day (incl. insurance) $250.00. Half day (incl. insurance) $155.00
Permits: A government permit to drive on the island must be
purchased. Cost applies
Bond: A security deposit is held until return of the vehicle in the
same condition as hired.
Fuel: All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel on
commencement of hire and must be returned FULL at the hirer's expense.
Driver: All drivers must be 21 years and over and present a current
driving license.
