Kingfisher Bay Ranger Guided Tours - Fraser Island
The world's largest sand island has hidden secrets - towering rainforests, ancient, shifting dunes, beaches stretching beyond the horizon, rainbow-washed sand cliffs and clear, pure lakes, bright as jewels. Kingfisher, the winner of several Australian Tourism Awards for Environmental Tourism, has Australia's largest private ranger team. Our expert guides will take you on a tour of discovery of this World Heritage wilderness. All of our tours have Advanced National Eco Accreditation.
Your ranger will tell you of the epic migrations of whales and wading birds, of thousand-your-old trees, of the fragile complexity of this ever changing, living museum. Travel back in time with our rangers to when the island was shaped by wind and water from countless grains of sand and to when the Aboriginal people fished and hunted before Europeans arrive to log the forest giants.
Fraser Venture Tours owner Sid Melksham pioneered tourism to Fraser Island in the late 1950s and got the pick of the Island’s most beautiful, scenic places to take you. Itinerary will differ with Sunshine Coast and Rainbow Beach departure
