DISCOVERY ONE is a 25m catamaran, with an open top deck for 360 degree viewing of whales wherever they emerge. It also has full walk around deck and large front and rear decks. Inside are two large saloon lounges which add to its comfort and allow its passengers to move around freely.

A delicious lunch is served on board, a hydrophone lets everyone hear the whales sing. There is a kid's corner and video screens. Excellent commentary explains all the whale behaviour patterns and the marine life of this lovely bay. The vessel has a liquor licence and souvenir shop.

This cruise has been specifically designed to provide the best opportunities not just to see the Humpback whales, but to spend quality time with a number of pods, to admire their gentleness and their inquisitive nature, as they approach the Discovery One  without fear.

       Often they will stop and ever so gently, they will raise their enormous heads out of the water (spy – hop) to look at all the passengers. Yet in a display of incredible strength they can propel themselves almost clear of the ocean, only to come crashing back amidst an explosion of water and spray
